Everton travel to France this week to take on Lyon in the Europa League, and caretaker boss David Unsworth will be hoping to get his first win under his belt after losing to Leicester City last time out.

The Toffees’ miserable Premier League form has followed them into Europe and they have just one point from their first three matches. There is still time to turn things around but Everton will need to win at least two of their remaining games and that will be easier said than done.

Unsworth made a few changes for Everton’s game against the Foxes and he is likely to keep faith with some of the club’s next generation while potentially giving others the chance to impress from the outset.

In early team news, Everton are without Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori, Yannick Bolasie, Ross Barkley and James McCarthy.

The Toffees lost 2-1 to Lyon in the reverse fixture earlier this month, with Ashley Williams late equaliser ultimately cancelled out when it looked as though Everton would secure a decent away point. That was not to be, and they will be hoping home advantage helps them to a vital victory this week.

Here is how we expect Everton to line up against the Ligue 1 side on Thursday evening:
