Everton travel to Cyprus to face Apollon Limassol in a Europa League dead rubber.
Everton manager Sam Allardyce is expected to ring the changes ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Apollon Limassol in Cyprus, in a match that he will not even reportedly attend.
The Telegraph claim Allardyce will miss the match due to a long-standing medical appointment, leaving assistant manager Craig Shakespeare and first-team coach Duncan Ferguson to take charge of what is expected to be a weakened side.
The Toffees are likely to rest a number of first-team stars and hand chances to fringe stars and some youngsters against the Cypriot side, after already being knocked out of the Europa League.
The Merseyside outfit’s dismal form has seen them lose to Lyon and Atalanta twice both home and away, while the club could only muster a point at Goodison Park against Limassol last time out.
On top of that, the Liverpool Echo claim the former England manager will go one better and hand five debuts to Everton’s youngsters – namely Alex Denny, Harry Charsley, Nathan Broadhead, Fraser Hornby and Michael Collins.
Although all five are unlikely to start, 21-year-old Charsley is slightly more senior and should make his debut in midfield. It could see Everton make up to eight changes to the side that beat Huddersfield 2-0 on Saturday with only Jonjoe Kenny and Cuco Martina retaining their starting slot.
Leighton Baines, Ross Barkley, Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori, Maarten Stekelenburg and James McCarthy all remain injured.
In come Joel Robles, Feeney, Baningime, Charlsey, Ademola Lookman, Klaassen, Nikola Vlasic and Ramirez, with Jordan Pickford, Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye, Aaron Lennon, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Tom Davies, Wayne Rooney and Dom Calbert-Lewin dropping out.
