Cardiff City, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United stars all feature.
England go into an important friendly against Denmark tomorrow night looking for a positive result which will allow them to build ahead of the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
Roy Hodgson announced a solid squad last week, which gives him a few selection headaches over who to start with ahead of the game as well as some injuries and withdrawals to address.
Here’s the side he could select to play against the Danes.
GK – Joe Hart
Hart should slot into the number one spot. He’ll be fresh as he didn’t play against Sunderland in the League Cup final.
RB – Glen Johnson
Johnson has returned to the Liverpool side and has been playing well in a team which is securing wins at a vital point of the season.
CB – Gary Cahill
Cahill has been one of the most consistent central defenders in the Premier League this season. He’s reliable and will offer good leadership in the back four for the team.
CB – Steven Caulker
This is a great chance for Hodgson to see how Caulker plays in the absence of Everton’s Phil Jagielka.
LB – Leighton Baines
This will be a difficult one for Hodgson because there is real competition at left-back. Baines should get the nod as he’s got greater experience than Luke Shaw and has been playing more than Ashley Cole.
RM – Raheem Sterling
Sterling can be let off the leash in this game to really get at and attack the Danes. His pace will be important on the counter attack.
CM – Jordan Henderson
Henderson has been superb in central midfield for Liverpool recently. He’s a great player to have in the middle because he can cover multiple positions.
CM – Steven Gerrard
He’s former a great relationship with Steven Gerrard and Hodgson can use them to play off each other in the same way that they do for Liverpool.
CM – Michael Carrick
Carrick’s presence will allow Gerrard to get forward and support the attack. Carrick has been superb this season in terms of reading the play and making interceptions to stop teams from moving the ball freely.
LM – Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge may start out on the left hand side as he does occasionally for Liverpool but he won’t stay there. If Baines gets forward well, Sturridge will move up top to partner the main striker.
ST – Wayne Rooney
That main striker is likely to be the Manchester United man. He can cause chaos in the Denmark back four as well as drop of to midfield if England are under pressure.
