Here is how we predict Chelsea and Southampton will line up this weekend:
To be played on Saturday 3rd October 2015 at 16:30. Venue: Stamford Bridge, London
Odds: Chelsea 7/10, Draw 14/5, Southampton 15/4
Chelsea welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge on Saturday with Jose Mourinho’s side continuing to struggle for form.
The Blues are currently 14th in the Premier League after picking up just eight points from their first seven matches and their woes have now spread to the Champions League, where they lost 2-1 to FC Porto earlier this week.
Southampton are in 10th position with nine points so far, but Ronald Koeman will know his team can do better and their recent victories against MK Dons and Swansea City suggest this match could have plenty of goals.
In early team news, Chelsea are without the injured Thibaut Courtois and the suspended Diego Costa, but other than that they have a full squad to choose from.
Southampton are again without goalkeeper Fraser Forster while Florin Gardos and summer signing Jordy Clasie are both unavailable.
A win for Chelsea would be a big step in the right direction but Southampton will want to increase the pressure on Mourinho.
