Ange Postecoglou could make two changes to his Celtic side to face Old Firm rivals Rangers on Sunday afternoon at Ibrox. The Aussie gaffer will have to decide whether to start Kyogo Furuhashi, or start him from the bench.

In what is a crucially important fixture, Rangers sit one point behind Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership table – with eight league games to play. A Rangers win sees the Gers leapfrog their Glasgow counterparts.

But a win for Celtic sees them go four points clear and with only a handful of matches remaining, and Rangers still in the Europa League, it looks bleak for the Gers. Celtic only have a couple of injury concerns.

The Japan international sparkled in the first half of the season – scoring 16 goals in 26 games, laying on five assists. But Kyogo has failed to play in 2022, suffering a long-term hamstring injury back in December.

How could Celtic line-up against Rangers on Sunday?

Giorgos Giakoumakis is getting better and better, and his physicality against the likes of Connor Goldson and Filip Helander will be a crucial decider in determining the result. The Greece star has six goals in three league games.

Josip Juranovic is likely to start over Anthony Ralston, Joe Hart remains in goal, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt’s combination continues and Greg Taylor remains the club’s best option on the left of the defence.

Tom Rogic, 29, started against Ross County last time out. But Celtic need energy in midfield and that might see Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley start with Callum McGregor. Jota and Liel Abada either side of Giakoumakis.
