Celtic travel to Norway to take on Rosenborg in the Europa League.

Brendan Rodgers still has plenty of his Celtic stars on the treatment table ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Rosenborg in Norway, but Tom Rogic could offer the Hoops boss some welcome relief.
Celtic desperately need a win against the Norwegian side if they are to maintain their bid of achieving a place in the knockout round of the Europa League after Christmas.
The Bhoys have already played against Rosenborg three times this season, twice in the Champions League qualifying stage as they knocked them out 3-1 on aggregate – winning 3-1 at home and drawing 0-0 away.
Celtic were then drawn against Rini Coolen’s side in Group B of the Europa League, alongside RB Leipzig and RedBull Salzburg. Leigh Griffiths’ late strike saw Celtic beat Rosenborg 1-0 at Parkhead in September.
Now, the Hoops are in much better form and are set to welcome back Australian playmaker Rogic. However, they are still likely to be without captain Scott Brown, as well as eight first-team stars.
Kris Ajer, Daniel Arzani, Marvin Compper, Kouassi Eboue, Cristian Gamboa, Mikey Johnston, Nir Bitton and Jozo Simunovic all remain on the sidelines through injury. Brown could be on that list.

Brown is back in training, but his hamstring injury saw him miss Saturday’s win over Hamilton and it is unlikely that Rodgers will rush him into selection for Thursday’s clash.
Rogic could start, though, and Rodgers will have a decision to make on where to play the Australia international. Here is how we think he could be included, replacing 29-year-old Scott Sinclair and fielding a narrower 4-2-3-1 system in only one change.
