Celtic are strong favourites to beat Ibrox club Rangers.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers arrives prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Dundee and Celtic at Dens Park on December 26, 2017 in Dundee, Scotland.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side are expected to continue their dominance in the Scottish Premiership with a comfortable win over Old Firm rivals Rangers during Saturday’s lunchtime clash.

The two bitter enemies meet at Parkhead, with the Hoops already 11 points clear of Graeme Murty’s third-placed Light Blues at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Rodgers has a couple of decisions to make to his starting eleven, following the injury sustained by Jonny Hayes last time out which has since ruled him out of the entire 2017-18 campaign, after scans showed a fracture to his tibia.

It leaves the former Swansea City boss thin on the flanks, with Patrick Roberts also sidelined due to a long-term hamstring injury. In defence, Kristoffer Ajer has been selected over Jozo Simunovic of late.

But the Norwegian teenager may be overlooked against Rangers due to the occasion of the match, with Rodgers’ preference going towards Croatian Simunovic due to his larger experience.

But, if Rodgers was to pick his best side at the moment, then he should only make two changes to the team that beat Dundee 2-0 on Boxing Day. In come Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair, after the latter was passed fit, for Hayes and 27-year-old striker Leigh Griffiths.
