Celtic return to Scottish Premiership action on Tuesday night.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic finally return to Scottish Premiership action on Tuesday night after more than three weeks off during the winter break, which saw Brendan Rodgers take his squad to a training camp in Dubai.

The Hoops travel to the Firhill Stadium to face Alan Archibald’s side in what is their first league match since a disappointing 0-0 draw against Old Firm rivals Rangers at Parkhead on Hogmanay.

Rodgers is suffering somewhat of an injury crisis at Celtic currently, with his only January signing Marvin Compper sidelined with a calf injury that is likely to make him a doubt for the Europa League matches against Zenit next month.

Joining the German on the treatment table are wingers Paddy Roberts and Jonny Hayes, midfielders Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong and young defender Anthony Ralston.

It leaves Rodgers right down to the bare bones, highlighted by the fact that Kouassi Eboue and Mikey Johnstone came on as substitutes during the 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Brechin City on Saturday afternoon.

Rodgers is unlikely to make many changes from the side that demolished Brechin, but 27-year-old striker Leigh Griffiths has returned from an ankle knock and he should start over Odsonne Edouard.
