Match to be played on Saturday 30th November 2013 at 15:00. Venue: Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff.
Cardiff City take on Arsenal this weekend … who will start for the Welsh side…
Here is our predicted XI…
GK – David Marshall
The goalkeeper is a stalwart in the Cardiff team and has been in good form this term. No change expected here.
DC – Ben Turner
The central defender has played every minute of Cardiff City’s Premier League campaign so far so do not expect that to change.
DC – Steven Caulker
The former Tottenham player will be very excited to have a go at his former rivals – and continue to put his England hopes on a pedestal.
DR – Kevin Theopile-Catherine
The Frenchman has been one of the buys of the season – performing brilliantly since arriving from Rennes.
He will be tasked with stopping the likes of Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla this weekend.
DL – Andrew Taylor
Another who has been a regular for The Bluebirds this term his name will already be pencilled in.
MC – Gary Medel
The Chilean could be key for this game. The combative midfielder must disrupt the flow of Arsenal’s creative midfield. He will certainly be the man who can prevent Arsenal from running rampant.
MC – Peter Whittingham
A Cardiff stalwart who must get on the ball to prevent Arsenal dominating the possession in this fixture.
AMC – Jordon Mutch
The former Birmingham City player has done well since being brought into the first-team and should retain his place – despite pressure from last weekend’s hero Kim Bo-Kyung.
LW – Craig Bellamy
Not sure why, but feel Malky Mackay might give the veteran a start in this game. Don Cowie the man to miss out for the star.
RW – Peter Odemwingie
Switching the Nigerian to the right wing will see him counter act the pace of Kieran Gibbs at left-back for The Gunners.
He will also be expected to link up with the striker when possible.
ST – Fraizer Campbell
The pacy striker had another good game against United – and should retain his place ahead of Andreas Cornelius.
