Aston Villa and Sheffield United go head-to-head this weekend.

Aston Villa host Sheffield United on Saturday evening in their last league game before Christmas, and Steve Bruce’s side will be hoping to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Derby County last time out.
The Villans are currently fifth in the Championship and are one of the major contenders to finish the campaign in a play-off spot. However there are plenty of sides below them itching to take their place and they will not want to drop points against the side directly below them in the table if they can help it.

Villa need to start at least one out-and-out striker following Bruce’s mistake against the Rams, and it will be interesting to see if he opts to start Scott Hogan, who has fallen out of favour despite his ability to score regularly at this level.
It would also be no surprise if Tommy Elphick stepped in for Mile Jedinak at centre-back, even if the former Bournemouth man is not every Villa fan’s cup of tea.
The simple fact is Bruce needs to start players in their best positions if he wants to enjoy a successful festive period.
With all that in mind here is how we expect Villa to line up when they face the Blades this weekend:
