Aston Villa face struggling Sunderland on Tuesday evening.

Steve Bruce manager of Aston Villa looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Preston North End and Aston Villa at Deepdale on November 1, 2017 in Preston, England.

Steve Bruce is expected to make two changes to his Aston Villa side as the Midlands giants go up against struggling Sunderland at Villa Park on Tuesday evening.

Villa will be expected to build on their 2-1 win over QPR on Saturday afternoon that saw Ghanaian speed machine Albert Adomah score twice, one goal either side of half-time, to claim all three points and remain in the play-off places.

Rock-bottom Sunderland have just one win from 17 league outings this season, which saw former manager Simon Grayson sacked just a matter of months after taking over at the Stadium of Light.

It has seen ex-Wales manager Chris Coleman quickly find a new job after resigning from his national team duties to take over the Black Cats, and his first game in charge will be against Villa.

Bruce rested international stars Mile Jedinak and Ahmed Elmohamady on Saturday, after they returned from international duty over the other side of the world with Australia and Egypt respectively and could start.

However, Bruce will definitely be without crocked captain John Terry and Scott Hogan who has undergone surgery on his stomach, while Jonathan Kodjia, Andre Green, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Gabriel Agbonlahor are also expected to miss the clash.

With all that in mind here is how we expect Aston Villa to line up against Sunderland, with 28-year-old Neil Taylor and Ireland international Glenn Whelan replaced by experienced duo Elmohamady and Jedinak:
