Arsenal welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium this weekend as domestic action returns after yet another international break, and this match really could go either way.

The Gunners are currently sixth in the Premier League table, four points behind third-placed Tottenham and with a point to prove.

Arsene Wenger, Manager of Arsenal reacts during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Arsenal at Etihad Stadium on November 5, 2017 in Manchester, England.

For years Arsenal had bragging rights when it came to finishing high in the table but those days are gone and Tottenham now have a squad capable of putting the Gunners in their place for years to come.

That said, form usually goes out the window on days like this and it will be interesting to see how this plays out. One thing is for sure: It is going to be exciting.

In early team news Arsenal cannot call on Oliver Giroud after the French international suffered a thigh injury while on international duty.

There could be better news with Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck facing fitness tests on Friday, and the German international could be vital if he can return in time to keep Tottenham’s impressive attack at bay.
