Arsenal welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening for their EFL Cup quarter-final clash.

The Gunners are flying high in the Premier League and have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League, but that does not mean they will be taking this match lightly with a domestic final on the horizon.

Southampton are enjoying a fine campaign of their own and will be hoping to follow up their 1-0 victory over Everton last time out with a famous win against Arsenal.

In early team news, the Gunners are without Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Santi Cazorla, Lucas Perez and Danny Welbeck, while Olivier Giroud is a minor doubt with a hamstring injury.

As for Southampton, they cannot call on Matt Targett, Jeremy Pied and Dusan Tadic, while Sofiane Boufal and Steven Davis are back after recovering from illness.
