Arsenal continue their Champions League campaign with a match against FC Basel on Wednesday evening, with the Gunners looking to maintain their impressive recent form.

Arsene Wenger’s side are currently third in the Premier League, with their latest outing the 3-0 drubbing of Chelsea on Saturday evening, while their opening match in Europe was a 1-1 draw away to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners are on fire right now and they will be quietly confident of defeating the Swiss side in North London.

Basel are currently top of the Swiss league, running away with it in fact with 27 points from their nine matches played.

They could not maintain their 100 per cent record when they faced Ludogorets in their first match of this season’s Champions League, drawing 1-1 courtesy of an 80th-minute equaliser from Renato Steffen.

Arsenal are without Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker and Aaron Ramsey, while Francis Coquelin is a minor doubt with a knee injury.
