Arsenal welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday as the two clubs return to domestic matters following the latest international break.

The Gunners have had a mixed start to the campaign, losing their opening match against Liverpool before drawing with champions Leicester City and overcoming Watford last time out.

As for Southampton, they have just two points to date and find themselves 15th in the table as a result, seven places below their next opponents.

In early team news, Arsenal are without Per Mertesacker, Gabriel Paulista, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck, but they could give debuts to recent signings Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi.

Southampton must make do without summer signing Jeremy Pied, while Fraser Forster is a minor doubt due to an arm injury but is rated at 75 per cent to be available if called upon.
