A number of Aston Villa players sent their best wishes to Trezeguet on his Instagram after he shared that he is ‘not quite sure’ about his injury.
The 26-year-old was forced off injured in the second half of Villa’s 2-1 defeat at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Trezeguet looked upset and in discomfort as he left the field and now many will be hoping this isn’t a long-term issue.
Even anything short-term can keep you out for the rest of the campaign given that there are only a few weeks left in the Premier League season.
Nonetheless, when Trezeguet posted an injury update on his Instagram account, a number of his teammates responded.
Ollie Watkins wrote: ‘Praying for you bro’. Whilst Matt Targett added: ‘Stay strong bro, we are all with you’.
Tyrone Mings also sent the versatile winger a message by saying: ‘Every step of the way bro’.
Hopefully, it isn’t too serious for Trezeguet and he is back on the field for Villa in next to no time.
But the signs don’t look good, which is a shame for Villa’s £9 million (BBC Sport), who was looking lively against Liverpool after that brace against Fulham.
