Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Martin Odegaard on the club’s official website after his heroics against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arteta has said that Arsenal attacking midfielder Odegaard is working hard in training and wants to score more goals.

The 23-year-old Norway international scored two goals for Arsenal against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Gunners won 2-0.

Odegaard now has six goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League this season.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal star Martin Odegaard

Arteta said when asked about Odegaard adding goals to his game this season: “That’s what you want, your attacking midfielders to win games and not only assist them but score goals.

“He’s changed that mentality, he’s practising a lot and he wants to get to his best, which we don’t know what his limit is like many of the other kids that we have.

“That’s what we want, embrace the good moments and support them when they’re not that good.”

Impressive

In our view, Martin Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is a key player for Arsenal.

The 23-year-old has developed and progressed a lot under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and is a joy to watch now.

The former Real Madrid player is very silky on the ball and connects well with his teammates.

The second goal from Odegaard against Wolves on Saturday summed him up.

Odegaard had the presence of mind to control the ball and then to place it into the back of the Wolves net smoothly.

He is a gem of a player, and Arsenal are a better player with him in it.
