Swiss international Breel Embolo is one of Europe’s hottest prospects, attracting interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur
Switzerland’s Breel Embolo is a wanted man
Swiss wonderkid Breel Embolo has another suitor in the form of Schalke, according to German media outlet Kicker.
The nineteen year old striking sensation was thought to be close to a deal with Manchester United, who became odds on favourites to sign the forward with Betstars, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Indeed, it was reported by SportBild that United had offered Embolo a deal in the region of £4 million per year,

However, the Basle striker has yet to decide on his future and it appears he will have a big decision to make, with Schalke now also thought to be in the running.
Die Königsblauen finished just outside the Champions League places last season, finishing 5th, three points behind Borussia Monchengladbach.
As such, Spurs would certainly have the upper hand on both the Gelsenkirchen club and United, having qualified for Europe’s premier competition by virtue of finishing runners up in the Premier League.
Leroy Sane could leave Schalke this summer
But Schalke may well up the ante in their pursuit of the frontman, especially if their current talisman Leroy Sane leaves the club.
The young German midfielder has been heavily linked with moves away from the Veltins-Arena, with Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola thought to be monitoring his progress, as reported by the Sun.
Schalke were not expecting to make any expensive outlays this summer, but this is set to change with the futures of both Sane and Huntelaar hanging in the balance.
Embolo has some big decisions to make about his future
It may be a while before Embolo makes a decision on his future nonetheless, as he is currently with the Swiss squad in France for Euro 2016.
Embolo made his first start for his country at a major tournament against France on Sunday night.
