QPR’s attempts to offload Sandro have hit an impasse after the Brazilian failed a medica
Sandro went on loan to West Brom for the latter part of the season
The Independent are reporting that Sandro’s expected move to Sporting Lisbon has collapsed after the Brazilian failed a medical.
Sandro had originally agreed a three year deal with the Portuguese club, but a medical in Portugal uncovered a knee problem, and the deal has now collapsed after Sporting pulled out.
QPR had accepted a £1.5 million cut-price deal for the Brazilian midfielder, however they will now need to look for a new suitor for the former Spurs man, who is one of the club’s highest earners on £50,000 per week.

The R’s have been desperately trying to offload players on high wages, selling Charlie Austin to Southampton in January and announcing Rob Green will be released at the end of the month.
Sandro was unable to be offloaded last summer due to an administrative error over his visa when he signed from Spurs, which he meant he had to return to Brazil to apply for a new one after an erroneously given 90 day visa expired.
Sandro joined QPR from Spurs in 2014
He started this season in the Championship, before joining West Brom on loan until the end of the season.
The Baggies had a £4 million buy-out clause in the loan deal for Sandro, who was originally signed from Spurs for an intital £6 million, but they did not take it up, and he was sent back to West London.
Will Sandro face Newcastle again next season in the Championship?
The Sporting Lisbon deal is thought to have collapsed last Friday, and it seems unlikely the move to the Portuguese Primeira Liga will be resurrected any time soon.
As such, Sandro remains a QPR player, and will remain so unless another suitor is found until his contract expires in 2017.
