QPR have had a set-back in their pursuit of Metz winger Yeni Ngbakoto.
FC Metz winger Yeni Ngbakoto
Sky Sports are reporting that Queens Park Rangers have had two bids rejected for Metz winger Yeni Ngbakoto.
QPR have been linked with a move for the 24 year old wide-man, who plays in the French Second Division for Metz.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is chasing Ngbakoto
The pacey winger was rumoured to be the subject of a bid, but Sky Sports have now said that the West London club have made two offers for Frenchman, but both have been rejected.
The report suggests that the R’s latest offer amounted to just under £1 million, but it was not enough to sway the Metz hierarchy to allow QPR to speak with the player.
Yeni Ngbakoto has a good season for Metz
It is also thought that the French winger wants to move to a bigger league than the Championship.
Ngbakoto had a terrific season with Metz, scoring 15 goals in 42 matches.
Will Hasselbaink continue his pursuit of the Ngbakoto?
He is predominantly a right winger, although is adept on both flanks and through the middle, and he is known for his pace and strength, despite his small stature, standing at just 5 ft 8’.
He would undoubtedly be a coup for any Championship side, although it is not clear whether QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will continue his pursuit of the coveted wideman after this recent set-back.
