Blackburn continue their transfer push by entering into negotiations for Nick Powell, who spent the end of last season on loan at Hull.
Nick Powell is leaving Manchester United
Blackburn Rovers have taken advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the future of Hull City manager Steve Bruce by entering talks with former Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell, according to the Daily Mail.
Powell failed to establish himself at Old Trafford after making the switch from Crewe Alexandra in 2012, and his contract expires at the end of the month.
The English midfielder burst onto the scene with the League Two club, scoring an impressive 14 goals from central midfield in only his second season as a professional.

He has since spent four years at Old Trafford, only making three appearances and repeatedly finding himself carted off on loan to clubs including Wigan and Leicester City.
At the end of last season he joined Steve Bruce at Hull City, making three appearances for the Tigers, and making an impression on the former Manchester United defender.
According to the Mail, Bruce remains an admirer of the central midfielder but the uncertainty surrounding his own future is preventing any transfer activity, and it appears Owen Coyle has taken advantage of the situation by opening talks with Powell.

Hull are currently undergoing a takeover, with the Allam family keen to sell-up and move out from the KCOM stadium.
New Blackburn Rovers Manager Owen Coyle has been busy in the transfer market
Coyle has worked with Powell in the past and can be credited with getting the best out of him during his time at Manchester United, signing him on loan for the season at Wigan Athletic, where he made 32 appearances and scored 7 goals.
Blackburn have been busy so far under new manager Coyle, already signing Stephen Hendrie on loan from West Ham and Anthony Stokes on a free from Celtic, whilst negotiations continue to tie down Tommy Spurr and bring in Danny Graham on a free transfer after his contract expired at Sunderland.
