Tottenham club captain Hugo Lloris will miss the game through injury.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted at five potential captains for this weekend
Mauricio Pochettino has told Spurs TV that he will decide who will captain Spurs after he has picked their starting eleven to face Palace on Saturday, but he picked out Danny Rose, Kylie Walker, Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen as key leaders in the running.
The Argentine boss will be forced to select a new leader this weekend due to the enforced absence of club captain Hugo Lloris, who sustained a hamstring injury during Spurs’ season opener against Everton last weekend.
It was revealed earlier in the week that the injury, suffered during the first half of the game that would finish 1-1, will keep Lloris out of action for the next four weeks.

As a result, Pochettino has a decision to make, and it appears he is not short of leaders to choose from.
When asked if he had someone in mind, the former Saints boss replied “We have players like Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Eric Dier.
“When my starting eleven is in my mind, then we will decide who will be captain.”

Spurs will face an upbeat Crystal Palace side in their first league game of the season at White Hart Lane, with the Eagles boosted by the impending arrival of Christian Benteke.
It has been widely reported that the Belgian striker is set for talks with the Eagles, after Liverpool accepting an improved offer of £27 million, potentially rising to £32 million with add-ons.

Spurs will be hoping that their own new striker Vincent Jannsen will be able to grab his first goal for his new club, having joined from AZ Alkmaar during the summer.
