Jacqueline Gold has insisted that her father does not want to sell West Ham United.

Jacqueline Gold, the daughter of one half West Ham’s ownership duo, has said that her father David Gold has no intention of selling the club in an interview with City AM.
West Ham will move into the new-look Olympic stadium next season, after 112 years at the Boleyn Ground.
The move has seen a storm of controversy about the extent to which the taxpayer will have to foot the bill for the switch, with it recently being revealed that the Hammers will not have to pay for the stadium’s basic upkeep, which includes the provisions of goal nets and corner flags.

And the move has cast some doubt over the motives of owners David Sullivan and David Gold, who, thanks in part to the new stadium, have seen the club rise in value by nearly £400 million.

But Jacqueline Gold has insisted that David loves the club, and that while he may perhaps search for a new investment in the near future, he wont’ be looking to sell.
Speaking to City AM, she said:
“”I know that David Sullivan and my father David Gold absolutely love West Ham
“Yes, I am sure that they would welcome investment but they absolutely love this club and I have never heard of any plans to be selling it off.”

West Ham will also be returning to Europa League action next season, as despite a seventh place finish in the Premier League, Crystal Palace’s failure to beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final means they will enter the competition again next year.
However, it remains unclear whether they will be able to play their qualifying fixtures at the Olympic stadium, for their tenant agreement begins in August while their first qualifiers will take place at the end of July.
