Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Davinson Sanchez could be doomed.
Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Davinson Sanchez could be set to fail according to multiple reports in Holland.
Sportnieuws report Ajax have decided Sanchez is ‘not for sale’, despite rumours strongly linking him to Tottenham.
While The Mirror reported late last night that Spurs were confident of signing Sanchez for £35 million, Ajax do not want to let him go.
Sportnieuws report a statement from an Ajax club spokesperson.
This reads: “He signed a five-year contract last year and we do not want to let him go.”

The report states that Ajax director and former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars has told Tottenham Hotspur they will under no circumstances sell them the centre-back.
Sanchez was claimed to still be keenest on Spurs due to the Ajax connection with Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

The report claims Ajax will sit down with Sanchez today in order to try and convince him to stay and potentially tie him to a new deal which will place him above the highest earners at the club.
Tottenham were hoping to make the Colombian defender their first signing of the summer.
Sanchez missed Ajax’s game at the weekend as he was ‘distracted’ with the reports surrounding his future.
