Napoli could reportedly make a move to sign Chelsea striker and West Ham target Armando Broja as a replacement for Victor Osimhen, with the Nigerian superstar wanted by Arsenal.

According to Il Mattino, the Serie A side are interested in the Albanian international if Osimhen leaves Napoli this summer, with interest currently high in the attacker who could leave this transfer window if a club matches the £80m asking price for the 23-year-old.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are interested in Osimhen, and this has led to Napoli scouting replacements for their prized attacker, with West Ham target Broja being eyed as a potential signing for the Italian side despite how keen David Moyes is to land the Premier League talent.

As per reports, the Hammers are stepping up their efforts to sign Broja this summer, though recent rumours suggest that West Ham are now moving fast to sign Sassuolo attacker Gianluca Scammaca, who looked set to sign for PSG after weeks of speculation.

Indeed, a new striker is a significant priority for West Ham, but if Osimhen is to leave Napoli this summer, the Partenopei could now make a move to sign Broja, who could be sensational in Serie A based on his record last season for Southampton and his overall style of play.

The Slough-born forward is a towering athlete who impressed physically in the Premier League last campaign, and Italy’s top-flight could be an easier division for Broja to compete in given the major differences it presents, much to the dismay of West Ham.

Broja looked set to join West Ham this summer, however, Napoli’s new interest in the Chelsea talent could throw a spanner in Moyes’ plans to sign the Albanian, especially if Osimhen leaves the Italian giants amid strong interest from Arsenal this window.

Indeed, Broja could be tempted by a move to Naples if the southern Italy side make an offer for the 20-year-old, and West Ham could be left scrambling if the youngster opts to sign for Luciano Spalletti’s side, who could turn the striker into one of the best goalscorers in Europe.
