Norwich City stars are in demand.
Norwich City may be struggling to look like the promotion contenders they were cracked up to be, but their players are attracting transfer interest.
One of the bright spots in the Canaries season so far is Jacob Murphy, who has scored six goals and provided five assists this season.
His form has attracted attention from Premier League high fliers Tottenham Hotspur, with ESPN reporting their interest last month.
Jacob Murphy celebrates scoring the third goal for Norwich City
Spurs have had huge success recruiting players from the lower divisions previously, namely with Dele Alli.
A move for Murphy would be a shrewd deal, but it could negatively impact teams which are interested in another Norwich player.
SkySports reported this week that Leeds United are interested in signing winger Sergi Canos, whose opportunities have been limited.
Brentford’s Sergi Canos celebrates scoring their second goal
Canos, 19, is a former Liverpool youngster but has struggled to get into the first team for Alex Neil’s side so far.
Leeds, or Brentford who are also credited with interest by SkySports, would find their chances of signing the young Spaniard limited if Tottenham follow up their initial interest in Jacob Murphy.
Norwich could find that suddenly there is a slot for Canos to get more playing time, if initially from the bench, and Leeds’ desire to land him on loan as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, would be even less likely.
