Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in bringing the defender to Ibrox this summer.

It was reported by The Sun on Sunday (28/4; page 59) over the weekend that Rangers are keen on signing Timm Klose on a free transfer this summer as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his defensive options.
The Gers do not have a clear run to Klose’s signature however, with current club Norwich City considering offering him a new contract ahead of their return to the Premier League this summer.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed another good season at Carrow Road, but has become a slightly more peripheral figure on the pitch for Daniel Farke’s men in recent times.
Nevertheless, Rangers fans would be forgiven for thinking Klose could be a fantastic addition. So perhaps it may be fair to suggest that it could be third time lucky for the Gers when it comes to signing established first-team players from the Canaries.

Graham Dorrans moved from Norwich to Rangers in the summer of 2017. His performances out on the pitch have actually often been impressive, but he has made just 17 league appearances across two seasons for the Light Blues, with injuries plaguing his spell at Ibrox.
Meanwhile, Russell Martin moved between the two clubs on loan during the second-half of last season. He actually made 15 Scottish Premiership appearances during his time with the Gers – only two fewer than Dorrans has made in total – but towards the end of his spell, there appeared to be little talk of Rangers potentially making the deal permanent as he struggled to impress.

Rangers, of course, also brought Glenn Middleton to Ibrox from Norwich. But Klose may find himself under a little more pressure if he does move north due to the struggles that two former Norwich players had after moving to Ibrox.
However, with the Switzerland international remaining an important player for the Canaries this season, it appears that he has a much better chance of succeeding than both Dorrans or Martin had should he join Gerrard’s side this summer.
