If rumours are believed, Ledley King is set for a big role at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Football London, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is set to appoint the club’s legendary centre-back as a coach in his backroom staff.
It’ll be great news for the club to have another die-hard Tottenham man in and around the first team.
But it could be particularly good new for a certain Juan Foyth.
It’s fair to say that the Argentine centre-back has struggled in a big way under Mourinho, who hasn’t played him once in 2020 yet.
The 22-year-old is only back from injury at the moment and there’s been speculation about him joining Leeds, among others.
Thing is, the North Londoners aren’t in a position to sell promising centre-backs, with Jan Vertonghen set to leave the club.
And there’s no telling how much better he could get while working alongside a master of his craft like King every single day at Hotspur Way.
Mauricio Pochettino clearly believed in Foyth and although Mourinho obviously needs convincing, maybe King can be the man to help do just that.
Coaches can transform players and at Foyth’s age, he could still get so much better.
