Arfield has pulled out of the Canada squad with a calf strain, the Daily Record report.
He is now a doubt to be able to face Celtic on March 31.
Arfield was one of the stars of Rangers’ win over Celtic back in December.
His taunt towards Scott Brown late on in the 1-0 win only endeared him further to Rangers fans.
Since then, Arfield has found it tough.
The former Burnley midfielder is out of form and some rival fans have even jibed that he has been missing in action since December 30.
If you had told Rangers fans after the win in December that Arfield would miss the next Old Firm game, there would have been real worry and disappointment.
Arfield’s form since dictates that his absence is no disaster if he misses out.
