Do Rangers need to be concerned about Greg Stewart’s injury?
Rangers are reported to be eyeing up the signing of Aberdeen attacker Greg Stewart, with the Daily Record reporting he is closing in on a three year deal.
One potential hazard in the way of a move is Stewart’s fitness.
Stewart is currently sidelined with a hip issue.
He has played only 14 minutes since April 6.
That was his comeback against Rangers in Aberdeen’s recent loss to the Gers.
Now he faces being out again this weekend when the Dons play Celtic.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes told the Daily Record: “Greg Stewart is still not fully functioning with his nerve problem. A lot of the speed and creativity in the team is lacking at the minute.”
Stewart’s end to the season is at risk of ending in a frustrating manner.
He may not be keen to risk his fitness, with a potential move on the horizon.
At the same time he will want to prove himself to Rangers, that they would not be taking on a risk in any way.
A strong performance against Celtic this weekend would have been ideal, to sign off at Aberdeen and to prove himself to Rangers fans. It doesn’t look like it is likely.
Stewart has played in 35 total matches for Aberdeen this season. He may have a wait to get to 36.
