Leeds United have been linked to Manchester United’s Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.
Talented Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has suffered a set back in his aim to show Jose Mourinho he should be part of his squad for next season.
The 20-year-old was omitted from the club’s pre-season tour squad which have just flown out to the USA, the club announced, with Demetri Mitchell preferred.

His absence is a positive sign for Championship club Leeds United, who The Mail reported last week are interested in a permanent transfer.
It not only signifies that Borthwick-Jackson is unlikely to be involved with Manchester United next season – but also suggests Leeds may have success doing a deal quickly if they desire, with no overseas tour involvement to complicate or delay matters.

Borthwick-Jackson had a terrific breakthrough season at United under Louis van Gaal in 2015/16, but was sent on loan to Wolves last season and disappointed.
The youngster appears to be around fifth choice under Jose Mourinho, if that high, and an exit whether on loan or permanently would be his best chance of first team football this season.
