Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his website that Chelsea want €5 million (£4.44 million) for Olivier Giroud, amid reported interest from West Ham United and Juventus.

The well-known and well-respected Sky Sport journalist has claimed on Gianlucadimarzio.com that Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus are interested in signing Giroud from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The Blues value the former Arsenal striker at €5 million (£4.44 million), according to the report, which has added that the France international would be open to a move to Juventus if he is handed a contract until the summer of 2022.

Eurosport reported earlier this month that West Ham are interested in signing Giroud as a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who has left for Ajax for £20.3 million.

Bargain signing for West Ham United

Giroud has been a success in the Premier League and remains a very good striker despite being 34 years of age.

The Frenchman would be a bargain signing for West Ham at the reported price of €5 million (£4.44 million).

The former Arsenal star would be a good short-term signing for the Hammers and would be a focal point in manager David Moyes’s team.

During his time at Arsenal, Giroud scored 105 goals in 253 games, according to BBC Sport, but his playing time at Chelsea has been restricted in recent times.
