Arsenal are linked to Presnel Kimpembe and Samuel Umtiti.

It’s been an uninspiring summer for Arsenal so far on the transfer front.
Unai Emery’s side haven’t been linked to a lot of big-name transfers…..until now.
According to Le10 Sport, the Arsenal boss is a big fan of Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Presnel Kimpembe, whom he worked with in the French capital, while The Sun claimed that the Gunners were also fans of Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti.
Considering the North Londoners conceded 51 times in 38 Premier League games last season, you could argue that defence is by far Emery’s biggest priority this summer – and it is.
The Spaniard simply has to sign quality defenders and if – and it might be a big IF – Emery can get both done in a double deal then his team will be so much better for it.
The bad news is that Arsenal would have to finance a potential double swoop by selling one or two big-name players, but the good news is that their defence would improve in a serious way.
Shkodran Mustafi would be nowhere near Emery’s first XI anymore, if he stays in England, while the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Laurent Koscielny could provide brilliant cover.
With Hector Bellerin expected to be fit next season, Arsenal’s back four, the one that was torn to shreds by a lot of teams last season, could be significantly stronger by August.
