West Ham United could be signing two quality strikers.

Newcastle United's Salomon Rondon

It’s been an okay summer transfer window for West Ham United so far.

The addition of 33-year-old goalkeepers Roberto and David Martin isn’t much to get excited about, but signing Pablo Fornals in a £24 million deal definitely is.

And if rumours are believed, things could get a lot more exciting for West Ham fans – and Fornals.

A Bola have reported that Moussa Marega is set to join the Irons from Porto, while The Northern Echo claimed last week that Manuel Pellegrini is also winning the race for Salomon Rondon.

Both are strikers and if the Hammers sign the duo, Fornals will be delighted.

The Spaniard is a playmaker and, like any playmaker, his success is tethered to the players ahead of him. There’s a reason why Mesut Ozil of Arsenal isn’t the same Mesut Ozil at Real Madrid, for instance.

The better the striker(s), the more assists the number 10 will rack up and Marega and Rondon would absolutely love to have a creative spark like Fornals in behind them, especially Marega.

They wouldn’t play up front together, Rondon and Marega, but they are both strikers who someone like Fornals can help be a success in East London.
