Crystal Palace have been linked with a double dose of Max’s, with potential moves for Max Meyer and Maxime Gonalons.

Remarkably, it is financially viable for Palace to add both.

Meyer is available on a free transfer after his Schalke contract ran down, the Daily Mail reported.

Meanwhile Maxime Gonalons is rumoured to be subject of a 10 million Euro offer submitted from Palace to Roma, Goal Italy report.

The two players represent very different options for the Eagles.

Gonalons is more experienced, a decade older, but has honed his craft as a defensive midfielder in recent years, leading Lyon as club captain before moving to Italy.

Meyer is an attacking midfielder who recently converted into playing a holding role, and has great potential but is still learning the position.

Buy one of them, and Palace risk picking the wrong option, but snap up both, and the Eagles have the perfect balance.

Signing Gonalons can ease pressure on German international Meyer right away as he continues to adapt his game.

Palace need more midfield options after Ruben Loftus-Cheek returned to Chelsea after his loan deal.

A double move for Meyer and Gonalons would transform their options as they look for a perfect partner to play alongside Luka Milivojevic.
