One Manchester United player looks set to cut short a loan spell at Fulham, and could fit the bill for Sheffield Wednesday’s new boss.

The new Sheffield Wednesday manager, Steve Bruce, is looking to strengthen his side’s full-back options in the January transfer window, according to the Star.
The names of any potential targets have yet to be disclosed, however – barring that of Mason Holgate, the Everton right-back who has since joined West Bromwich Albion on a temporary basis.
But if it is Premier League loans that Bruce is eyeing, then developments at one of the 58-year-old’s former clubs may be of interest.
According to the Times, Timothy Fosu-Mensah wants to return to Manchester United this month with a view to making another short-term move, after struggling to make an impact at Fulham.

And a Championship spell could suit the Dutch right-back, whose previous loan to Crystal Palace did not go entirely as expected.
Given Bruce’s strong Manchester United ties – which he used to acquire Axel Tuenzebe on loan for Aston Villa as recently as the start of this season – Wednesday could be at the front of the queue for any fringe players of which the Red Devils intend to dispose this winter.

And Fosu-Mensah looks set to be one of them.
Would the Fulham loanee be a good addition for Sheffield Wednesday?
