Perri was coached by the Rangers man before he followed Steven Gerrard to Ibrox.

Crystal Palace will be getting an ‘outstanding young goalkeeper’ in Lucas Perri, according to the Glasgow Rangers coach, Michael Beale.
Various reports suggest Palace are close to signing Perri, with The Guardian claiming the 21-year-old is set to join the Eagles on an initial loan deal, ahead of a potential £3.3 million summer transfer.
Perri has progressed through the ranks at Sao Paulo, where he worked alongside Beale for six months before the latter’s return to the UK with Liverpool and then Rangers.
And despite the Brazil Under-20 international having yet to make his senior debut, Beale believes he will be a success in English football.
Posting on Twitter on Monday evening, Beale wrote:
Crystal Palace are currently in the midst of a goalkeeping crisis, with Wayne Hennessey and Vicente Guaita both injured.
And that has left the veteran Argentine, Julian Speroni, as Roy Hodgson’s only senior option.
Beale, who began his coaching career at Chelsea, left Liverpool to become Sao Paulo’s assistant manager in January 2017.

He returned to Anfield as head of the Reds’ academy later that year, before following Steven Gerrard to Rangers last summer.
