Nahki Wells has opened up about signing permanently for QPR – and strike partner Tomer Hemed could soon follow.

Queens Park Rangers loanee Tomer Hemed has made a strong start to his career at Loftus Road, and the west Londoners should consider signing him on a permanent deal next summer.

On Friday, strike partner Nahki Wells admitted to West London Sport he would consider making his loan switch to QPR a permanent one, and this could be the trigger for Hemed to follow.

The Israeli international’s deal is up this summer with parent club Brighton & Hove Albion, and although he’ll be 32 by then, a potential deal for Hemed should be seriously considered.

The former Maccabi Haifa forward still has plenty to offer at Championship level, and with Hemed unlikely to be offered new terms at the Amex, QPR take advantage of the situation.

Wells and Hemed are expected to lead the line when QPR host Norwich City on Saturday, and R’s fans will be hopeful the pair can carry on their recent run of fine form.

Rangers have picked up three wins from their last four games and have climbed up to 16th place in the Championship table chalking up ten points – one less than the Canaries going into Saturday’s encounter.
