Lukas Podolski says that he is confident that Arsenal can start racking up the victories in the coming weeks.
Lukas Podolski says he is confident that Arsenal supporters will be able to celebrate some victories in the coming weeks.
The Gunners face Hull City this weekend, before taking on Anderlecht in the Champions League and Sunderland in the Premier League and Podolski clearly believes that a nine point haul is on the cards.
The German has just returned from what he has called a ‘tough’ international break with his side, where they played matches against Poland and the Republic of Ireland.
It was a miserable time for the world champions, where they failed to win either Euro 2016 qualifier, but Podolski is adamant that the wins will start flowing now he is back with his club side.
“Back in London after a tough International break,” he posted on social media site Instagram. “Feeling confident our fans will be celebrating some wins in the coming games.”
Podolski has had a difficult season so far at the Emirates, with speculation about his future surrounding him.
The 29-year-old has struggled for games due to the attacking quality that Arsenal have and it seems that his time in North-London could be coming to an end.
Gunners supporters will be hoping he is correct in his prediction about victories being imminent for the side, though.
Arsene Wenger’s men have started the season in rather indifferent form and they will need to improve to even claim a top-four place, let alone make a title challenge.
