Stan Collymore has given his take on Twitter on Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.
The former Liverpool striker, who works as a pundit, does not think that Bale is good enough for Tottenham anymore.
Collymore believes that at this stage of his career, the Wales international is a poster boy for Major League Soccer, the Chinese Super League or the Qatar domestic league.
Gareth Bale’s Tottenham Hotspur struggles
Bale returned to Tottenham on loan from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.
Much was expected of the 31-year-old winger when he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but things have not worked out well for the Welshman.
The former Southampton man has had injury and fitness issues and is struggling to get regular playing time under head coach Jose Mourinho.
According to WhoScored, Bale has made one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has scored one goal in six Europa League games for Tottenham so far this season.
However, Bale remains a very good player, and perhaps he will turn on the style for Spurs in the coming weeks and months.
