Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has said that some Spurs players do not like to train against Cristian Romero.
Ange Postecoglou has said on talkSPORT (11:42am, September 12, 2023) that Tottenham Hotspur and Argentina international central defender Cristian Romero is a very fierce competitor.

Postecoglou made the comments about Romero when he was asked about Lionel Messi’s recent comments about the 25-year-old.
Argentina international forward Messi said last week that Romero is the best defender in the world right now.
Spurs boss Postecoglou has noted how the 25-year-old, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, is a real competitor even in training.
Postecoglou said about Romero: “I will tell you what.
“I wouldn’t like to play against him.
“Most of the boys don’t like to train against him.
“He is a real competitor, and I love that about him.”

In our view, Cristian Romero is one of the best defenders in the world and is a big player for Tottenham Hotspur.
Romero has done extremely well for Spurs so far, and he is just 25 now.
The defender’s best years are ahead of him.
It is not often that a player gets as much praise from Messi as Romero has got.
While there are instances where Romero can be too rash in challenges and tackles, there is no doubt that Tottenham are a better team with him in it.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
In our view, for Spurs to achieve success in that quest, Romero will have to be on top of his game throughout.
Romero has made 53 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The defender has scored three goals, given one assist, and has kept 13 clean sheets in those matches.
