Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has said that Son Heung-min was not fully fit against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Ahead of the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening, Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou had said that Son Heung-min was a doubt.

Son, though, did start for Tottenham against Liverpool.

The South Korea international forward scored in the 36th minute.

Tottenham won 2-1.

Ange Postecoglou on Son Heung-min for Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool

Liverpool ended the game with nine men.

After the game, Postecoglou said that Son was desperate to play for Spurs against Liverpool and was not 100% fit.

Postecoglou said about Son, as quoted in Football.London: “Look, he wasn’t 100 per cent but I had a chat with him yesterday and he was desperate to play.

“He was going to give what he could and he did.

“He was never going to play the whole 90, we were always going to give him an hour or so but he led from the front again and he was the one doing the pressing. He got his goal as well so great captain’s effort.”

Son Heung-min back in form for Tottenham Hotspur

In my view, Son Heung-min is back in form for Tottenham Hotspur.

Son did not have the best of campaigns for Spurs last season, but the South Korean is back to his best now.

The Tottenham forward is scoring goals, playing well, and is full of confidence.

The Tottenham no. 7 has scored six goals in seven Premier League matches so far this season.

Last season, Son scored 10 goals and gave six assists in 33 league starts for Spurs.
