Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has raved about goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Ange Postecoglou has said that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Fraser Forster has been “unbelievable” in training and has impressed him.

The former Celtic manager made the comments about the £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) goalkeeper while looking at the goalkeepers he has at his disposal.

Guglielmo Vicario is the number one goalkeeper for Tottenham at the moment.

Hugo Lloris is still at the North London club.

Ange Postecoglou on Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Fraser Forster

Postecoglou said about Forster, as quoted in Football.London: “Vic’s earned the right to be number one, his performances have been outstanding so if he continues in that manner, and having Fraser and Hugo there he’s going to make sure he is on it every day.

“Fraser has been unbelievable, the way he’s been training and he was unlucky in the Fulham game. He had a good game there.

“That’s what I want and that’s what they want. They want to be pushed every day to be the best they can be.”

Fraser Forster could do well under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur

In our view, Fraser Forster could be a very important player for Tottenham Hotspur under manager Ange Postecoglou.

While Forster is not guaranteed a place in the Tottenham starting lineup, he has a wealth of experience and would be able to come into the team at short notice.

While Guglielmo Vicario is doing well at the moment, you just never know what could happen in the future.

A player like Forster is good to have in the Tottenham squad.

Forster has made 148 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The goalkeeper has kept 45 clean sheets in those games.
