Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to push for the signing of Gift Orban after Ange Postecoglou approved a move for the striker.

Gent striker Gift Orban is emerging as a serious target for Tottenham Hotspur in the final month of the transfer window.

That is according to Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri, who claims that Tottenham are in contact to sign Orban this summer.

It’s stated that Tottenham may now go as high as €30million (£26million) with their offer for Orban, including bonuses.

Tavolieri adds that Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has approved a move for Orban – but it all hinges one condition, which is of course the future of Harry Kane.

Tavolieri claims that Tottenham will only give the green light to an Orban bid if Kane makes a move to Bayern Munich.

That situation remains completely up in the air right now after Tottenham rejected Bayern’s latest offer for the England striker.

Tottenham are at least ready to go with a bid for Orban should the worst happen, but this one could rumble on for a while yet.

Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Gift Orban?

Orban emerged with Bison FC over in his native Nigeria before heading to Norway with Stabaek.

The 21-year-old made a stunning impact with 19 goals in 24 games, sparking interest from Gent.

The Belgian side pounced in January of this year and their gamble on Orban has paid off incredibly.

Orban has already hit 22 goals in 24 games for Gent, including a hat-trick against Istanbul Basaksehir which took just over three minutes to complete.

Orban – hailed as an ‘explosive’ striker – looks destined for a huge future and Tottenham are now making their move.

Maybe Tottenham’s idea, in the event of selling Kane, would be to sign an experienced striker in Mehdi Taremi alongside a youngster in Orban.

Tottenham do have Richarlison and Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz is inbound, but Tottenham could completely revolutionise their attack in the event of a Kane sale with Orban emerging as a key target.
