A claim has been made that Tottenham Hotspur manager target Arne Slot is set to hold negotiations over leaving Feyenoord.

Fabrizio Romano revealed this update about the Dutch coach, who was reported to be ‘very interested’ in the job, as per a revelation on Tuesday.

Now, it seems that Arne Slot will likely have a chat with Feyenoord over taking over the Tottenham Hotspur manager job.

Arne Slot set for Feyenoord meeting about Tottenham manager role

The Dutchman has been hailed this season and rightfully so for leading his side to a league title, whilst playing an attractive brand of football.

Branded as ‘[Pep] Guardiola-like’ by the i Newspaper, the 44-year-old has been billed to be the next up-and-coming supercoach in the game.

The good news for Tottenham fans, as they await the appointment of a new manager in potentially Arne Slot from Feyenoord has been presented by Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Feyenoord and Slot’s representative will hold a meeting over his ‘possible exit’ and that too, in the ‘next hours.’

In addition, Romano claims that Spurs will be informed that he is indeed leading the race to land the job.

The only obstacle, as per him is the compensation, as Slot’s contract expires in 2025.

Tottenham fans should be over the moon

It seems like Tottenham may finally be set to replace former manager Antonio Conte with Arne Slot from Feyenoord.

Of course, it is vital to emphasise that there has been no indication that a deal is close to completion.

But it does not seem like the obstacle is sizable enough to stop Slot from making his way to N17.

With Arne Slot likely to provide Tottenham an identity on the pitch through his style of play and having squeezed out production from a squad that is far from being elite, he could suit the English giants.

That is, if the negotiations run smoothly in Spurs’ favour.
