According to West Yorkshire Sport, Pierre-Michel Lasogga will be available to play for Leeds United against Ipswich Town this weekend.

Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ipswich at Elland Road in the Championship.

Lasogga is available for the match, with his baby now almost two weeks overdue.

West Yorkshire Sport has also claimed that defenders Pontus Jansson, Matthew Pennington and Liam Cooper all are fit to face Ipswich.

When asked if Jansson, Cooper and Pennington would be fit enough to start, Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen told The Yorkshire Post: “This is also one of the questions that we have.

“Pontus comes from a small muscle problem and Pennington comes back after several weeks out. And I also have Liam who has come back and is okay and Connor (Shaughnessy).”

Ipswich have been one of the best teams in the Championship so far this season and will not be easy to win against.

With Lasogga available for the game against Ipswich, Christiansen’s side will have a good chance of picking up all three points from the encounter.

The former Germany Under-21 international striker has hit the ground running at Elland Road following a season-long loan deal from Hamburg in the summer transfer window.

The striker has scored two goals and provided two assists in three Championship appearances for Leeds this season.

With defenders Jansson, Pennington (on loan from Everton) and Cooper all available, Leeds will also have a better chance of keeping the Ipswich attackers at bay.
