The teenager is surely out of Tottenham Hotspur’s price range, however.

When speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer podcast, Portuguese football expert Felipe Dias suggested that Tottenham would be the perfect club for Benfica ace Joao Felix to join this summer.
The 19-year-old has really impressed when playing for Benfica’s senior side, racking up 20 goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions, and he would undoubtedly be a superb signing for Spurs.
That seems like an unlikely outcome, however.
Atletico Madrid submitted a €126 million (£113 million) offer for Felix last week, according to Spanish media outlet Marca, and Tottenham surely will not be willing to match that bid.
Portuguese football expert Felipe Dias still believes that Spurs would have been a better option for the talented teenager, however, telling Sky Sports’ Transfer podcast:

“We don’t feel [Atletico] is the perfect fit for him as a player. Atletico Madrid’s style of play doesn’t really suit him. But Diego Simeone pointed out that because of the signing he could change the style of play of the whole team. Maybe a club like Spurs would have been the perfect fit, like City, with more offensive, attractive football.”
Tottenham seem to be intent on strengthening their squad this summer, with deals for Tanguy Ndombele, Jack Clarke, and potentially Giovani Lo Celso in the pipeline.
Mauricio Pochettino would have loved to add Felix’s name to that list, but as things stand, it seems as though he would be out of Spurs’ league financially.
With added revenue from their new stadium, however, mega £100 million plus transfers might not be too far away for Tottenham.
