Wolves’ club-record signing has a worrying history with injuries but Portuguese journalist Tom Kundert believes he could thrive in England.

Portuguese football expert Tom Kundert has backed “aggressive” Wolves forward Ivan Cavaleiro to be a big hit in the Championship, providing he avoids the injuries that have dogged his early career.
According to the Express & Star, Wolves paid a club-record £7 million for the talented Portuguese forward, who started just seven Ligue 1 games for Monaco last season due to a recurring back problem.

And Kundert believes Cavaleiro, who has earned two caps for the senior Portugal side, has the perfect style to succeed in the rough and tumble of the English game, as long as the injuries don’t strike once more.
“At his best, Cavaleiro is an aggressive, bullish player who makes things happen in attack,” Kundert told HITC. “But he’s not the best finisher and he’s been unlucky with injuries.
“He could do well at Championship level but I have my doubts that he’ll reach much higher. Staying injury free would be a good start.”

Whatever Cavaleiro’s impact at Molineux, Monaco have made a huge loss on a player they paid 15 million euros for last summer, according to A Bola.
The 22-year-old remains highly rated in his homeland after starring for Portugal side as they reached the final of the Under-21 European Championships last year, scoring in a 5-0 thrashing of Germany.
