Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Connor Ronan helped Portsmouth to a 3-0 win against Oxford United on Sunday.
Ronan, who moved to Fratton Park on a temporary deal in January, was making his 11th appearance for the side managed by former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett.
And the Irishman’s latest outing began brightly, with teammate Kal Naismith adding the finishing touch after Ronan’s in-swinging corner was headed back across goal by Matthew Clarke with only four minutes played.
Barely the same amount of time into the second half, however, the 20-year-old was withdrawn for what appeared to be tactical reasons, as Portsmouth rode out the storm to add to further goals against their 10-man opponents.

And at least one Wolves fan was impressed with Ronan’s showing, which was broadcast live by Sky Sports.
Last week, Jackett told the Portsmouth News he would be interested in bringing Ronan back to Fratton Park next season, and suggested the Rochdale native would be open to the move.
