Portsmouth and Southampton fans were left in shock last night, after Michael Eisner praised Gareth Bale.

Portsmouth chairman Michael Eisner praised Southampton trained Gareth Bale, much to the belief of supporters and former players alike.
Bale scored twice as Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions League final, and he took great praise for his performance.

However, one person Southampton academy graduate Bale may not have been expecting congratulations from is the Portsmouth owner.
But Eisner seemed only too happy to celebrate Bale’s achievements, claiming that it was a victory for the south coast.
The comment quickly attracted attention from both Southampton and Portsmouth fans and past players, with nobody quite able to believe what they had read.
Southampton developed Bale from the age of 12, but his talent was quickly picked up on when he broke into their first-team.
Tottenham Hotspur bought him off the Saints in 2007, and Bale then went on to switch to Madrid in 2013.
Bale has now won four Champions Leagues with Los Blancos, but he could be on the move again in the summer.
